Publication Frequency Individual manuscripts will be published after acceptance (i.e. one volume per year) on a monthly basis in the journals.
Open Access Policy AstonJournals provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Disclaimer The journal is not responsible in any way for the views expressed or claims made by the authors.
Plagiarism Please report any case of plagiarism to us (editorial.office@astonjournals.com) at any point of time. If proved, the published manuscript may be withdrawn after giving the author an opportunity to clarify.
Copyright Notice Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms: a. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. b. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal. c. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
Privacy Statement The names and email addresses provided to us will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journals and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
Peer-Review Policies and Indexing
All manuscripts submitted to any journal will be peer-reviewed. Each manuscript will be assigned 2 or more reviewers (members of the Editorial Board or outside experts) with the stipulation that the review should be submitted within 3 weeks (the actual time taken for review might vary depending upon reviewer response). Once at least two reviews are received, the Chief Editor or Editor will make a decision. In the case of conflicting reviews, the Editor will have the prerogative on making a decision. In general, if the two reviews are favorable, the manuscript will be accepted. However, if one or both reviews are not favorable, the manuscript will be rejected. All journals follow Double-Blind Peer-Review process wherein the identity of the Reviewers and Authors is unknown. Authors are encouraged to suggest reviewers for their submitted manuscript who may be contacted by us if peer-review is delayed due to slow reviewer response.
All published manuscripts will appear in search results on Google and Yahoo within a few days of online publication. Later, they will be covered by Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals, Chemical Abstracts Service (American Chemical Society), EBSCO, Gale, CABI, etc.
All journals will be listed in JournalSeek, Electronic Journals' Library, SerialsSolutions (ProQuest), and Cabell Publishing Directories.
AstonJournals will submit the journals for evaluation to PubMed, Scopus (Elsevier's Citation Service), and Thomson's (ISI Web of Knowledge) SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, to ensure that citation analysis of published manuscripts in all journals will be available (citation analysis is currently available in Google Scholar).
Published manuscripts in the journals should be cited in the same way as those in a traditional journal. However, because published manuscripts in these journals are not printed, they do not have page numbers. Instead, they have a unique reference number.
The following citation:
Life Sciences and Medicine Research, Volume 2010: LSMR-1
refers to article number LSMR-1 from Volume 2010 of the journal.
As all journals are online, they do not have issue numbers. Each volume corresponds to a calendar year.
